Azure had 76% Growth in 2018

Microsoft's cloud computing service Azure, which supports many applications and platforms such as Dynamics 365, big data analytics, SharePoint, E-commerce and hundreds more has seen record growth in 2018. Microsoft has decided to bet big on cloud computing and is a core product in their strategy to support businesses deliver a Digital Transformation. 

“Our strong commercial cloud results reflect our deep and growing partnerships with leading companies in every industry, including retail, financial services and healthcare,” said Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft. “We are delivering differentiated value across the cloud and edge as we work to earn customer trust every day.”

Azure fits the "Intelligent Cloud" category by delivering Artificial intelligence and machine learning to customers, adding value to their daily operations.

This continues to proof popular as Microsoft reported $32.5 billion in quarterly revenue, with Azure revenue growth up 76%.

The cloud results are broken into pieces which is shared across different business units, but overall cloud results revenue grew 48% year-over-year to $9.0 billion.

Dynamics 365, the cloud based version of CRM, was able to deliver 51% growth for the company, which continues to increase overall market share.
